- Fooducate by Fooducate, Ltd for iOS and Android uses – This free program allows users to scan a product’s barcode while grocery shopping and provides nutritional descriptions of the item. The app allows users to compare items based on nutritional content and on cost.
- Figwee Portion Explorer by Density Limited LLC for iOS – This program includes a nominal fee ($3.99) and allows users to better estimate portion sizes. The app includes more than 28,000 images of different foods in various portion sizes and allows users to increase or decrease food quantity to see the change in nutritional content.
