How do you feel about food these days? Are you confused on how to plan and enjoy healthy meals? Are you torn between all the fad diets out there? I want to reassure you that healthy eating and weight management really comes down to the quality and the quantity of your food intake. That means controlling calories to an appropriate amount for your body’s needs, and choosing a variety of nutrient rich foods (eat the rainbow!) with planned indulgences thrown in. Part of the fun in life is eating, and eating should be fun!
There are no magic foods to eat that will lead to weight loss or forbidden foods to avoid that will cause weight gain. The overall goal is sustainable healthy choices that will make you feel good. It is not always going to be realistic for you to never eat a grain of carbohydrate again nor to never eat before noon.
If the veterinarian told you that your pet is overweight, you might focus on smaller portions and increased activity to help your pup lose those extra pounds. I doubt that you would seek out a fad pet food diet plan. Show the love to yourself, just like you would do for your furry family member and forget the fad diets.
