Join Angela and learn how to properly engage your corewhile practicingbreathing and core strengthening techniques. She will reveal what true core strength is, exploring new and up-to-date alternatives to traditional core exercises. She will also be clarifying some common mistakes made when trying to strengthen the core muscles.
Core Strength will improve your posture and boost your confidence. It can help to alleviate back pain and prevent future injuries. We’ll discuss how to integrate core control into your daily activities, fitness routine, and yoga practice.
A strong core will improve overall daily movement from picking up your children, house work, gardening, on the job etc. It will also enhance athletic performance while weight training, running, and playing sports. This workshop is for everyone and is also great for anyone 6 weeks postpartum. Excellent for beginner exercisers all the way to advanced.
You’ll leave this workshop feeling stronger from the inside out.

Health Walks to Beaver Brook Reservation
Join Matthew for weekly Free Health Walks. These walks will last 45 minutes to an hour. During the walk we will be exploring the beautiful surroundings of the Beaver Brook Reservation.
The group meets every Wednesday. Meet at 11:30am at Waverley Oaks Athletic Club in the main lobby.

Balance and Fall Prevention with Matthew
Most people are unaware that there balance has been steadily declining until they have a falling event. Each year 1 in 3 people over the age the age of 65 will experience a fall and 75% of those falls will result in some kind of bone fracture. Studies from the CDC also show that once you have fallen once you are more than 50% likely to have another fall within a calendar year. So….before one of these unfortunate, potentially life altering falls happen to you join Matthew Fennell in this partner training program that will take a proactive approach to hopefully preventing falls rather than having a reactive approach and subsequent recovery after a fall. The program will emphasize static as well as dynamic balance, total body strength (especially the core and legs) as well as postural improvements. Winter is HERE……get stable NOW!!! This is a five week program.

This group is for moms (with kids under 10) who want to gain strength after pregnancy . Focusing on the full body, core and pelvic floor!
